Hooked! Huge peacock bass caught @ golf course pond

I used a Gotcha lure and knew he would go for it. My friend caught the female and I got big daddy. It was hooked real good so he was not going anywhere. It peeled off some drag off my Penn 550 ssg reel and battled like a champ. It is encouraging that the peacock bass are still alive and well after the cold front. @mojondro 1) The water they come from is dirty. 2) It is frowned upon to eat a peacock bass. 3) I do not eat freshwater fish.

good proportions – beautifulfish – you guys should always have a pair of needlenose pliers to help remove hooks – faster and better for fish too. 2 thumbs up!!

@dmc16336 It is a nice size peacock bass. I liked the colors on it. My gf caught the biggest which was 22 inches and like 8 lbs. I got the video if you search through it.

@stripedbass29 It had great colors. I was a peacock bass ace when I was living over there. I would catch the most stubborn and hard to catch peacocks!
